Nicholas Kirkwood is a cheeky 27-year British shoe designer who hit the
fashion world across
fashion scene just two years ago and has already attracted major
the pond. Last

London.
Kirkwood is clearly leaving his mark on the footwear industry with a goal
of creating shoes that are recognizably his own, as opposed to anybody
else's. His shoes are currently available at Harrods in London and at
Bloomingdales in the US. I'm guessing we 'll be seeing more of him
everywhere.
Hot People:
Agyness Deyn is London 's top fashion muse of the moment. Her
signature look has everyone talking. She 's said to be the one who could
fill Kate Moss' shoes as hottest British super model, and word on the street
is that she meets all the criteria... Hard rocking beau? Affirmative. She
dates Josh Hubbard of the Paddingtons. Signature look? Affirmative.
She 's brought back the peroxide crop hair cut and London is starting to
look more like Sweden with the number of blondes out on the town.
"Aggie from Manchester" is definitely shaking up the fashion world…

…American Vogue has put her on their list of the top ten
models to cover. Her debut cover shoots for British Vogue
and Vogue Italia aren 't too shabby either.
Hot Shoe Trends:
Studded boots and shoes got a bad girl super sexy update
this season. Think of the scene in Grease when Sandy turns
into a saucy minx in the amusement park. Studded knee-
high boots are being paired with slim pants (and I mean
pants in the American sense as opposed to undies).
The Burberry Prorsum Studded Platform Sandal has been
labeled "the biggest badass shoe of them all" by British
Grazia. Agyness Deyn sported them with an elegant
cocktail dress, a look which gave birth to the concept of
"Badass Chic."
Bad girl Sandy: ““Tell me about it, Stud.”
Although they were originally available at Nordstrom in the
US, they appear to now be sold out. Sport the look
stateside with these alternate studded styles.

What 's in a Name: Heels.com
What 's in a name? For Erik Heels it was an online shoe company called heels.com. It was said that
with a last name like Heels, he was destined to be either a podiatrist or a shoe salesman. He chose
the latter.
In 1995 when many of us were still unfamiliar with the internet and worldwide web, Erik Heels
registered the domain name heels.com based on his surname. He used it as the web site for his law
firm from 1995 to 2003 until the firm grew and became known as Clock Tower Law Group. The
domain no longer made sense at that point so Erik began the process of looking for a buyer for it. As
there is great demand for one-word domain names, he was inundated with inquiries.
In May of 2007, Erik Heels met up with Eric McCoy a seasoned e-commerce veteran with knowledge
of the shoe industry. Instead of simply selling the domain to McCoy, the two decided to partner. In
October they debuted heels.com, the online shoe store, featuring beautiful high heel footwear and a
new place for shoe lovers to shop for treasures.
